Model Union Council Screening | MC1-Shabqadar

JZT Pakistan, in collaboration with the District Youth Office Charsadda and Medi Lab Diagnostics Laboratory Services, Peshawar successfully conducted the Model Union Council Screening Campaign in Shabqadar MC-1, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards a Thalassemia-Free Pakistan.

As the first organization in Pakistan to initiate a practical, community-based approach towards achieving a Thalassemia-Free society, JZT Pakistan continues to transform awareness into action through innovative prevention strategies. The Model Union Council Project, launched under the Zero Thalassemia Campaign and Operation Thalassemia Cleansweep, focuses on structured Indexed Family Screening and Extended Family Screening, along with awareness, counseling, and preventive interventions at the grassroots level.
The activity was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including,
Muhammad Haris Khan, District Youth Officer Charsadda,
Dr. Abdur Rehman, Medical Superintendent THQ Hospital Shabqadar,
Babar Ali Khan, Former MPA,
and representatives from the Police Department.



During the event, the guests appreciated the efforts of JZT Pakistan in advancing Thalassemia prevention through practical and sustainable community engagement. They acknowledged the importance of such initiatives and assured their full support and cooperation for future awareness, screening, and prevention activities.
JZT Pakistan remains committed to expanding innovative prevention models and strengthening collective efforts with institutions, stakeholders, and communities to safeguard future generations from Thalassemia and move closer to the vision of a Thalassemia-Free Pakistan.
