JZT Pakistan – A Student-Led Movement Against Thalassemia

JZT (Jehaad for Zero Thalassemia) Pakistan is a student-led, registered organization that has been actively working since 2010 to eradicate Thalassemia from the country and create a Thalassemia-free Pakistan.

Core Objectives & Activities

Thalassemia Awareness

Conducting educational sessions, awareness campaigns, and seminars in schools, colleges, universities, and public spaces to inform people about Thalassemia prevention.

Blood & Medicine Support

Assisting existing Thalassemia patients by arranging blood donations and medical aid to ensure they receive timely and adequate treatment. 

Extended Family Screening

Conducting screening programs for families affected by Thalassemia to identify carriers and prevent the spread of the disorder.

Research & Development

Promoting scientific research on Thalassemia, supporting medical advancements, and working towards better treatment and prevention strategies.

Volunteer Mobilization

Encouraging youth participation in social service by providing them with opportunities to contribute to saving lives and making a difference.

Nationwide

Nationwide Presence & Impact

JZT is operational across all provinces and states of Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. With a strong network of 1,000+ volunteers, the organization has established over 100 university and city chapters, making a significant impact on communities nationwide. Through its dedicated volunteers, awareness drives, and life-saving initiatives, JZT Pakistan continues to work tirelessly towards a future where no child is born with Thalassemia.
